Lost Educational Expenses

Lost Educational Expenses can help if injuries from an automobile accident prevent you from continuing an education program you were enrolled in at the time of the accident.

Who It May Help	Benefit Amount	What It Helps With
Students enrolled in elementary, secondary, post-secondary or continuing education.	Up to $15,000.	Certain education expenses lost because you are unable to continue your program following the accident.

Example: A university student is seriously injured in an automobile accident and cannot complete their semester. Lost Educational Expenses may help with eligible education costs they have lost because they are unable to continue their studies.

Expenses of Visitors

Expenses of Visitors can help pay reasonable and necessary expenses incurred by eligible people who visit you while you are recovering from injuries caused by an automobile accident.

Damage to Personal Items

This benefit can help with the cost of repairing or replacing certain personal items damaged in an automobile accident, including clothing, prescription eyewear and hearing aids.

Eligible insured persons whose covered personal items are damaged in an automobile accident.	Reasonable and necessary expenses, subject to the maximum provided by the insurer and your policy.	Eligible items such as clothing, prescription eyewear, hearing aids and similar personal items.

Example: Prescription glasses and clothing are damaged in an automobile accident. Damage to Personal Items coverage may help with the reasonable cost of repairing or replacing the eligible items.

Indexation Benefit

The Indexation Benefit helps protect certain Accident Benefit amounts against inflation by adjusting them annually based on changes in the Consumer Price Index for Canada.
